Project Details

Design Process:
During project discovery, I facilitated a brainstorm session with the client where we walked away with several unique ideas to explore for highlighting the organization’s conservation accomplishments benefitting fish, people, and rivers.

Native Fish Society utilizes an array of artists and designers to infuse a grassroots creativity into their campaigns. I wanted to honor that by incorporating an illustrated look and feel to the campaign, which I accomplished by using hand cut paper, digital illustration and my own library of photo textures taken from nature. By thoughtfully integrating the text with the fish, people and rivers illustrations, the layout is beautiful and functional.

As an added bonus gift to donors, I facilitated the production of a set of postcards with a guest artist.

Impact:
3,000 annual appeal letters were printed and shared with the Native Fish Society community including volunteers, members and donors.

How this helps the planet:

Supports native fish populations and free-flowing rivers, strengthening ecosystems and creating a healthier and more abundant future for wildlife and humans.

Provides inclusive access to science, education and stewardship opportunities.

We’ve been putting together a campaign highlighting our conservation campaign efforts with Margo for the past many years as part of our year-end appeal. Every year our community and its support for our work has grown.
